Dr Ani Deshpande completed his medical education in Mumbai, India in 1996. He also completed Masters in Surgery and a Fellowship (MCh) in Paediatric Surgery at the King Edward Memorial Hospital in Mumbai. Subsequently, he has worked in Paediatric Surgery and Paediatric Urology at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne and at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Sydney since 2005.

He has a keen interest in urinary bladder diseases in children. In 2009, he has commenced a PhD on “voiding disorders in children” and has been awarded the Medical Foundation Scholarship by the Uiversity of Sydney.

Ani is a self confessed cricket tragic and also likes travelling and reading books – of all descriptions and sizes!
