Gabrielle Williams is a researcher in the Centre for Kidney Research and research lecturer at the University of Sydney. Her major project since 2002 has been management of the FEVER study, a 2 phase project that aims to develop and test whether a clinical decision support system for the diagnosis of serious bacterial illness in children improves patient care.

Other minor projects include reviews and meta-analyses of issues to do with diagnosis and treatment of children with urinary tract infection. Gabrielle has worked in the CKR since 1998 and attributes her longevity to an ability to produce reasonably edible cakes for staff birthdays.

In 2009 she takes on the role of artistic director of the end of year CKR Spectacular, a task of momentous importance that was previously held by the infamous palliative care specialist Angie Morrow. Past performances include Elvis Presley, P!NK, The Angels and Michael Jackson to mention just a few. Her science background and PhD are largely irrelevant to her current role but her experiences in the entertainment field were great preparation for the ridicule and laughter of the CKR Spectacular.

Gabrielle is usually quite obedient and manages to complete most tasks Jonathan throws at her including an MPH through the University of Sydney. She currently balances work and leisure working 4 days in the Centre for Kidney Research and the rest relaxing in a household with 3 males.
