Narelle became a Registered Nurse in 1993 after completing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Nursing at Sydney University. She has also completed a Graduate Diploma in Nursing at University of Western Sydney. Her clinical nursing experience includes working in critical care areas, predominantly at Westmead Hospital. Narelle spent two years in the United Kingdom between 1998 and 2000 working as a RN in critical care areas at Frimley Park Hospital during this time. Narelle has been at CKR since January 2006 in her role as Research Nurse involved in several studies, including FEVER Study and the QuiCK Study and more recently, the DETECT Study. She completed a Master of Public Health in 2009. Her research interests lie in qualitative research and learning about the issues facing those with chronic kidney disease.
