Sean Taylor
Project Manager for the Antecedents of Renal Disease in Aboriginal Children and Young Adults (ARDAC)
Sean Taylor is currently the Project Manager for the Antecedents of Renal Disease in Aboriginal Children and Young Adults study. Sean has completed a Bachelor of Nursing Science at James Cook University at the Thursday Island Campus in the Torres Strait in Far North Queensland. He has completed a graduate certificate in Diabetes Management and Education and a Diploma in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care.
Sean has spent majority of his working career in the Torres Strait delivering Primary Health Care to the people of the Torres Strait as the Health Centre Manager working under the Torres Strait Model of Care within Queensland Health. Pilot projects that he has worked and contributed to at the Mer Island Primary Health Care Centre includes; The Well Person Health Check, Adult Health Check and the Chronic Disease Recall System.
Prior to arriving in Sydney in 2008 he worked at the Aboriginal Health Council of South Australia and the Alice Springs and Cairns Base Haemodialysis Unit. He is currently studying his Masters of Public Health (Primary Health Care Stream) through Flinders University and has enjoyed his time immensely whilst being in Sydney.
